West Shore Award Finalists

Brock Emberton Law Corp., which has been offering legal services in Langford and the surrounding area for more than 34 years, has earned two nominations for the WestShore Community Awards.
Emberton was named a finalist for Business Integrity and Long-Standing Business honours and joins several other doublenominees for the awards gala, sponsored by the WestShore Chamber of Commerce and scheduled for Sept. 30 at the Westin Bear Mountain.
Randy Dunn's Canada Laminate and Hardwood Flooring was nominated for Business Integrity and Customer Service, while Thermal King Glass, a family business established in 1980 by Roy McIlveen, is up for Long-Standing Business and Customer Service. Other double-nominees include ReStore, Hayworth Communities, SportAssist, Solar Colwood and Old Style Repair.
Jim Rathwell of Happy Valley General Store earned twin nods for Community Service and Healthy Communities, as did Kathleen King-Hunt, principal of aboriginal education for Sooke School District, for Civic Leadership and Healthy Communities.
